Bye Bye Wahoo’s, Hello La Barbecue
I liked Wahoo’s on South Congress, but it was never busy and the place seemed a little ratted out. La Barbecue is effin’ delicious.

I Can’t See a Thing!
People are always looking for new and unique experience no matter what city they live in. I’ve heard about the blind experience in cities like New York or L.A., but never in Austin. Quite frankly, I think it is a wild idea, albeit a very disconcerting one. I’m a bit of a control freak, in that I like to know what is going on and the situation around me. I kind of envelope myself in surroundings I feel very aware about. This would be quite outside of my comfort space, but I’d be willing to push myself.

Who Knew Henri’s Cheese Shop Serves Great Wine and Dinner?
Hoping for a quiet and simple dinner, we were originally headed to Barley Swine but it was too crowded. Henri’s provided intimate seating and a simple dinner menu. The cheese was, of course, wonderful and the beet salad a work of food art. $150 for an app, salad and one entree and 4 glasses of wine felt a little steep for two, but the experience was delightful and it was quite nice to dine somewhere hushed for a change. Any Means made adequate cheese and wine suggestions.
