We popped into the neighborhood mega sports bar call <a title=\"The Park - South Lamar\" href=\"http:\/\/thepark.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/lamar-menu.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Park<\/a>\u00a0(South Lamar). \u00a0I&#8217;ve had burgers there before but had not tried any of the entrees. I was very happy to see they\u00a0offered smaller, discounted portions. I don&#8217;t always want to eat like a Texan. Monday&#8217;s Happy Hour offerings did not disappoint and for some reason,\u00a0in 46 degree weather, I found it necessary to have a frozen mojito. It was pretty good, nonetheless. \u00a0My main dish was called &#8220;The Hot Chick&#8221; and she was wicked\u00a0hot. &#8230;as in spicy. \u00a0I love hot food, so was completely satiated. The side of black beans with tomato and queso fresco\u00a0was quite tasty. If I was an avid sports fan, I&#8217;d have likely thought I was in heaven, but I was more interested in the food. Lots of families and large parties, but I wasn&#8217;t overwhelmed by the crowd.
