Sort Of"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Any Austin old-timer can recall Avenue Cafe\/ <a title=\"Las Manitas\" href=\"http:\/\/downtownaustinblog.org\/2010\/02\/04\/what-happened-to-las-manitas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Las Manitas<\/a> on Congress and 2nd street. \u00a0It was a food and cultural icon. \u00a0You&#8217;d literally walk through the kitchen to get to the famous back patio. \u00a0The food was authentic, delicious and the menu varied for Mexican food.<\/p>\n<p>The sisters who owned the restaurant also own a building at 3rd and Congress.
