Curiously, I find it peculiar\u00a0that yet another Starbucks is going into the JW, when\u00a0there is Caffe Medici across the street, Houndstooth a block away, another Starbucks in the W Hotel, and two more on congress (6th and 9th). Everyone is to be properly over-caffeinated downtown, no doubt.<\/p>\nI peeked into the building and it appears this location my have a bar-like atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Surprise! Austin is getting yet another BBQ place. I do love meat, so I am not displeased\u00a0about Cooper’s coming to town. \u00a0I’ve been to the New Braunfels location and I love their food. I’m not a BBQ snob as I like variety in flavor, technique, etc… but I loathe fatty BBQ. I’ve been told a lot of taste and moisture comes from fat. When I’ve dined at Cooper’s they do a great job of trimming the fat so you’re paying for mostly meat \u2013 of which I am very thankful for.
